ABOUT OUR GROUP
A place for
curious people
The Monroe Community Group is a place for people who are curious about consciousness and want to explore it through conversation, shared experiences, Monroe exercises, and connection with others asking some of the same big questions.
Our gatherings may explore subjects such as expanded states of awareness, meditation, intuition, perception, altered states, consciousness research, personal experiences, and the possibilities of human awareness.
Some meetings will include experiential exercises using Monroe practices and audio technologies. Others may center around discussion, exploration, guest speakers, or shared experiences.
You do not need to have attended a Monroe Institute program to participate.

ABOUT THE MONROE INSTITUTE
Founded by Robert A. Monroe, the Monroe Institute grew out of research that began in 1958 with an exploration of altered and expanded states of consciousness. That work eventually led to the founding of the Institute in 1971 and more than five decades of continued research, experimentation, and exploration into the nature and potential of human awareness.
At the heart of the Monroe approach is curiosity, personal exploration, and practical experience. Through sound technology, exercises, and other methods developed over decades of research, individuals are encouraged to explore consciousness for themselves and discover what is meaningful through their own experience.
Direct experience over prescribed belief.
